Ask a questionIs this the same as O Level Statistics?
It is its replacement. Cambridge is withdrawing O Level Statistics (4040) after November 2027, and IGCSE Statistics (0479) is first examined in June 2027. The content is almost the same.
When can I sit the exam?
In the June series only, so there is no November sitting. It is available in Pakistan from the first exam in June 2027.
Do I need to have studied statistics before?
No. The course assumes the Mathematics most students have by Year 9 and nothing more.
Can I take it alongside O Level or IGCSE Mathematics?
Yes. It is a separate qualification, and the two overlap enough that each helps the other.
Are there past papers to practise with?
Not for 0479 yet, since the first paper is June 2027. We use the Cambridge specimen papers and O Level 4040 past papers, which cover almost the same content.
