No, alongside it. Additional Mathematics is a separate qualification that builds on 4024 or 0580 rather than replacing it.
Is it worth taking if I am going on to A Level?
Yes. A good part of Pure 1 is met here first, so the AS year starts on ground you have already covered once.
How much harder is it than O Level Mathematics?
The topics go deeper and the questions ask for more steps. The pace is set for that, with worked examples before every set of problems.
